Fifty years after Mini made its first public debut, it will be unveiling an exciting new concept that the company calls “the most dynamic and agile Mini ever built.” Designed to be the most sporting Mini ever, it sure looks the part.

The Mini Coupe Concept’s dramatic new styling includes a raked windshield, a new steeply angled aluminum roof, a unique downforce-inducing wing, a more aggressive air dam, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Remaining a hatchback, this Mini is a two-seater with increased cargo capacity. There hasn’t been much news on the powertrain yet, but the most powerful Mini 208-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine will definitely be available. Look for more news at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show.
